At the end of your 1 year term all e-commerce subscription purchases will automatically renew for an equal term at the then-current price.

Can I use the Pro-Scan Bundle on a Mac?

While SketchUp Pro is fully compatible with macOS, it is important to note that Trimble Scan Essentials is currently a Windows-only extension.

For Kiwi designers using Mac hardware, you would need to run Windows via Boot Camp or Parallels, or ideally, use a dedicated Windows workstation to utilise the point cloud features of this bundle.

What types of scan data can I import into SketchUp?

The Pro-Scan Bundle is highly versatile and supports a wide range of industry-standard point cloud formats.

You can import data from terrestrial laser scanners, mobile mapping, and drone captures. Supported file types include E57, LAS, LAZ, TZF, and PLY. This is particularly useful for NZ surveyors and architects working on heritage renovations or complex site topographies.

How does this bundle help with Council Resource and Building Consents?

Precision is key for New Zealand consent applications. By using Scan Essentials, you can create “as-built” models that are 100% faithful to the existing structure.

Do I need a high-end computer to handle point cloud data?

Trimble Scan Essentials is highly optimised, allowing you to manage even massive datasets quite fluidly, but a robust workstation will ensure the best performance.
